Goshenhoppen Folk Festival, Montgomery County
The Goshenhoppen Pa German Folk Festival in Montgomery County was a totally different experience from the Kutztown Folk Festival. It really was a reenactment of life in the early eighteen hundreds with the various crafts and skills in animal husbandry presented with real authenticity. However, the reenactors and the general philosophy of Festival lacked the esoteric ism that many of the crafts clearly objectified, no Folk magic, no Hex magic I sadly report.
