The Following is an excerpt from the book, 9 Worlds of Hex Magic , 2013 by Hunter M. Yoder

I met Isaac Vazquez in 2008 on MySpace. I was attracted to his profile image that I later used in a Hex design that is hanging in The Hex Factory today. The fact that the entire Hex is composed of Runes really impressed me. From the pictures of his Kindred in Mexico in ritual I concluded that they are some of the hardest core Folkish Heathens around.anywhere. They had the look of a South American Indigenous Shaman's alter only Germanic Heathen. Quite a pagan spectacle to say the least! Later on Facebook, I found out that he has his own site for the kindred he founded, Hermandad Odinista Del Sagrado Fuego or Odinist Brotherhood Of The Sacred Fire and they have membership throughout all of South America. Isaac lives and works as a professional in Mexico City along with his wife, Rubi Vera.

1.Isaac, How did you become an Odinist?

Sr. Isaac, ¿Cómo llegó usted a ser Odinista?

When I was 13 I loved going to the Catholic Cathedral as they had on the floor filled with black swastikas this is where I was born which is a port in northwestern mexico .

I started studying shamanism and sorcery of mexico with several guides and teachers, but any change in the wake of a repetitive dream I had and did not know its interpretation.

I dreamed of a cliff watching the moon in a dark sky mounted on a black horse field and led me down to a river where he was a boatman with wide-brimmed hat took me to an island where they heard the word fehu continuous echoing in the center was a cabin with the door open .

Inside stood a fireplace with a warm fire and a woman on a bed of long black hair was pregnant in act of birth and birth outcome was a large black dog out of the womb that became big and transformed in a white crow and then transformed into a small black cat whose forehead was marked kenaz rune in white and touch it and put it in my chest everything was transformed , the atmosphere changed to a desert where there was a big flame and the floated within 3 runes.

The first rune was Ansuz the second was Berkana the third was Kenaz .

As I put my hand grabbed 3 fire runes and put them on my chest ended the dream .

This happened many times to the point of looking for answers that were these signs and the characters in it.

I thought me crazy because for nine months was constant repetition vivid and real.

That led me to study and deepen the way of the gods of the north in the Troth .

When I started in my country no one am one of the oldest started living this way in my country.

I am considered a Gothi or Gudja , a priest in my guild Odinist .

Cuando tenía 13 años me encantaba ir a la catedral católica ya que tenia en el piso lleno de svasticas negras esto es en lugar donde nací que es un puerto en el noroeste de mexico.

Empece estudiando el shamanismo y brujería de mexico con varios guias y maestros pero todo cambio a raiz de un sueño repetitivo que tenía y que no sabía su interpretación.

Me soñaba en un risco viendo la luna en un cielo oscuro montado sobre un caballo negro y que me conducía terreno abajo a un rio donde estaba un barquero con sombrero de ala ancha me llevaba a un islote donde escuchaba la palabra fehu como un eco continuo y en el centro estaba una cabaña con la puerta abierta.

En el interior se veía una chimenea con un fuego cálido y una mujer en una cama de cabello negro largo que estaba embarazada en acto de parir y que el resultado del parto era un gran perro negro que al salir del vientre se hacía grande y se transformaba en un cuervo blanco y después se transformaba en un gato negro pequeño en cuya frente estaba marcada la runa kenaz en color blanco y al tocarlo y ponerlo en mi pecho todo se transformaba, el ambiente cambiaba a un desierto donde estaba una llama grande y en el interior flotaban 3 runas.

La primera runa era ansus la segunda era berkana la tercera era kenaz.

Al meter mi mano al fuego agarraba las 3 runas y al ponerlas en mi pecho terminaba el sueño.

Esto paso muchas veces al grado de buscar las respuestas de que eran esos signos y los personajes en el.

Creí volverme loco ya que por nueve meses fue una repetición contante vivida y real.

Eso me llevo a estudiar y profundizar en el camino de los dioses del norte en el Odinismo.

Cuando empecé en mi país no había nadie soy uno de los más antiguos que empezó a vivir este camino en mi país.

Soy considerado un Gothi o un Gudja, un sacerdote Odinista en mi hermandad.

2.Why is it important as a Germanic Heathen to embrace Odinism as a religion?

¿Por qué, es importante como pagano germánico acoger el Odinismo como religión?

3.Any thoughts on Hexerei, or Germanic Witchcraft? What connection if any does it have with Brujeria or Bruxaria?

Germanic Witchcraft has a large component of people anglosaxon and much of what many new age or wicatrus actually has its historical and traditional witchcraft magic in Germanic.

What is the connection, if any, to Witchcraft or Bruxaria?

Germanic Witchcraft has had a strong revival and see that there are people actually involved in the study and practice of this noble art and way of life.

I deeply respect those sorcerers and artists like Hunter m. Yoder whom I admire his artwork as hexologist and believe deeply that the hex symbols can be transformed for better or for worse, all around.

4.What can you share with us about your expertise with falcons? Do you hunt with them?

¿Cuáles experiencias puede usted compartir con nosotros acerca de su especialización con halcones?

The Falcon is present in my life is an important guide that comes in my dreams and in my daily life I always observe the signals where I live always see these magnificent and beautiful animals flying free and hunted with them and have made communication and familiarity me falcons are part of my family and my spirit.

Many years ago when I started this way in a Blot I made to the gods in a tree perched a great white hawk and stayed with me until the ceremony finished filling me with great joy.

Do you hunt with them?

I do not do because I think the hawks are free to fly without a master.

es asignado al Eormersyll. Recordemos que el gran eje cósmico, aquel que

martillo de Thor), es pues el sistema multi-universal. El sistema cosmogónico

del gran árbol es muy similar al proceso natural que se desarrolla en cualquier

planta de nuestra tierra, conformado en la parte superior por sus ramas y hojas,

soportadas por un tallo y afianzadas en lo profundo de la tierra por sus largas

raíces, las cuales absorben los nutrientes de la tierra y transportan la

vitalidad hacia arriba, lográndose así el ciclo vital natural de la planta.

Dentro de la cosmogonía Germana, la vitalidad y sabiduría son llevadas hacia

arriba del árbol a través de sus tres raíces, cada raíz con su pozo y con

distintos sitios o destinos particulares: Neofelham, Hvergelmir y la raíz que

pertenece al pozo de Wurz. Tal entidad representa al destino cosmogónicamente y

etimológicamente hablando, pues es una cognición de la palabra Wyrd , que

significa "girar", interpretándose como el destino o "lo que será". Wurz es

pues, una de las tres Nawarns, la primordial y central del sistema tripartita.

De esta forma, la acumulación de energía, acontecimientos, sabiduría, principios

dinámicos, estáticos, de equilibrio y caóticos, es como se mantiene en forma

continua el ciclo vital del gran árbol, el cual abastece con sus "chorros"

energéticos la vida o empuje del destino de todas las entidades en los distintos

niveles energéticos que lo conforman.

En este sistema, las Nawarns son descritas rociando y añadiendo agua y arcilla

del pozo de Wurz, denotando el sentido de creación, acción y transformación,

donde el agua o energía dinámica fluye por las raíces y sube, en lo que se puede

denominar como "lo que es", nutriendo así, el complejo sistema multi-universal,

dando como resultado el crecimiento de las ramas y hojas del árbol, creando un

proceso "fotosintético cosmológico" que finalmente culminará en la creación del

agua fresca que goteará de sus hojas hacia el pozo y con esto iniciando

nuevamente el ciclo infinito. El gran árbol fue pues, un gran abastecedor de

conocimiento y sabiduría para Wodan (Odín) durante su autosacrificio, de donde

obtuvo la visión del misterio multi-universal comprendido totalmente en el

arreglo de los nueve bastones.

Los conceptos cosmogónicos arriba descritos resultan complejos y complicados de

entender, por lo que es necesario el estudio concreto de cada uno, por ahora

sólo los mencioné de una forma básica y sencilla.

Entendiendo estos sistemas cosmogónicos podemos darnos cuenta del papel que

juegan en el misterio de las runas. El crearlas, tallarlas, cantarlas y leerlas

producirán una fuerte interacción con el sistema del gran árbol o con el de la

gran tela, nuestro viaje por la vida está creado por la fuerza del Örlog que son

nuestras mismas acciones, sin embargo, existen aspectos de nuestra entidad que

no pueden ser cambiadas y que pueden ser vestigios de la misma fuerza energética

de nuestros ancestros de quienes tambien el Wyrd les ha proveído su toque

energético.

del conocimiento y sabiduría del macro-cosmos.

del gran árbol, recorriendo desde lo más profundo y oscuro de sus raíces hasta

lo más alto de sus ramas; cubriéndonos también en la gran tela que ha sido

misteriosamente tejida por esas hábiles manos de la gran triada.

7.Can you educate the audience as to the evolution of the practice of Odinism in your native Mexico and the rest of Central and South America?

Our community is made up of people who value family ethics

Germanic tribal ancestors and descendants in Mexico and Central and South America and which is spiritual focus ,

actively in the practice of our ancestral religion as authentic as possible.

Odinist Brotherhood of the Sacred Fire to which I belong is formed

individual members and families ranging from infancy to its stage

adult .

As children are a big part of our tribe and community, as

any other , it is imperative that the adult members of the HOSF

exemplify ethics and values through the example strengthening us all equally .

Providing a safe and auspicious

Time has passed since that one day in 1997 December 21

group of people formed the basis of this brotherhood whose purpose

was the study of the tradition of our ancestors and our faith

included within our spirituality known as heathenry ,

haithnu or Odinism

Learned and evolved from different prevailing currents

The objective of the formation of the brotherhood is to: create groups

Nuestra comunidad está formada por personas que valoran la ética familiar y

Como los niños son una gran parte de nuestra tribu y la comunidad, como

cualquier otra, es imperativo que los miembros adultos de la H.O.S.F.

ejemplifiquen la ética y valores a traves del ejemplo fortaleciendonos a todos por igual.

El tiempo ha transcurrido desde que un día 21 diciembre en 1997 un

grupo de personas formaron la base de esta hermandad cuya finalidad

era el estudio de la tradición de nuestros ancestros y nuestra fe

englobada dentro de nuestra espiritualidad conocida como heathenry,

haithnu u Odinismo

Aprendimos y evolucionamos de las diferentes corrientes imperantes

de la época dentro de la espiritualidad bebiendo de fuentes como el

asatru el theodish y el Odinismo anglo saxon, ejemplos claros en

organizaciones que conformaban sus esfuerzos en propagar la fe de

nuestros dioses y diosas

El objetivo de la conformación de la hermandad es: crear grupos de

individuos unidos por juramentos de sangre siguiendo un código de

nobles virtudes practicando la religión de nuestros ancestros.

Organizados de una forma tribal con el objetivo de legar este

conocimiento adquirido en el grupo y de manera individual a los

descendientes a las familias que componen esta hermandad

Sabedores que faltaban muchos conocimientos nos dimos ala tarea de

traducir y establecer lasos con organizaciones de todo el mundo donde

siempre nos recibieron con respeto y hospitalidad

Siendo la primera organización formalmente establecida como punto de

encuentro y de difusión de la enseñanza de nuestra fe en México

Llamándonos Odinistas como un mero termino general, cuya

espiritualidad esta centrada en un líder Tribal de los dioses que

nosotros le llamamos Wodanaz no por ello dejando de honrar y a los

demás dioses y diosas del panteón heathen

Enfocándonos en vivir nuestra espiritualidad día con día para

fomentar y vivir las costumbres de nuestros antepasados para

posteriormente convertirnos nosotros mismos en antepasados a través

de nuestra descendencia; siendo preservadores y a la vez

reconstruyendo formas antiguas para adaptarlas a nuestro presente

unidos como hermanos compartiendo ese conocimiento y esa misión clara

de crear células que propagaran estas premisas de honor y valores

centrados en la familia y la fe germánica como descendientes de tan

nobles pueblos de Europa

Fuimos desechando ideas absurdas y maniqueas descubriendo que en la

reconstrucción de esta religión no había un solo camino, sino una

compleja telaraña de realidades y estudios entrelazados con el

trabajo de muchos hermanos en otros países que al vivir su

espiritualidad daban forma a toda esta corriente

Retomamos el camino en aprender sobre runas y los diferentes sistemas

rúnicos que hay hoy en día, concentrándonos en leer sobre filosofía

poesía y organización de los pueblos del norte creyendo en nuestros

dioses comprendiendo que existen fuerzas que no conocemos ni nos

explicaremos pero que están presentes en nuestras vidas y en lo que

nos rodea.

Nos deslindamos de cualquier tipo de afiliación política, buscando

la espiritualidad y la religiosidad, pudiendo en esta hermandad

cualquier hermano con su ideología política ser respetada, pero no

manifestada dentro de ella

nuestra fe tiene la suficiente base ideológica como para no tener que

completarse con la política.

Creando a sí un respeto y una pauta que veíamos que era uno de los

Nos alejamos de cualquier tipo de racismo tomando como organización

el tribalismo ya que una de sus máximas cualquiera que fuera adoptado

por la tribu es parte de ella con igualdad de derechos y obligaciones

Fuimos innovadores sobre ese respecto aunque no surgió de la nada fue

el fruto de otros grupos nacidos en la vuelta de ver el pasado y el

retorno a las costumbres antiguas

olvidemos que el Cristianismo no es una religión de nuestra cultura.

Esta religión de una cultura de manera escrupulosamente concreta,

significará la espiritualidad típica de la cultura en peligro de

desintegración por el fenómeno Universalismo que destruye

identidades culturales y religiosas, la globalización que pone en

peligro la vida unitaria de los grupos tribales indio-americanos son

tal vez la cara más cruel de dicho universalismo típico del Imperio

Fascista, o como otros le dicen, la Oligarquía. La política siempre

será uno de los peligros más grandes de los grupos culturales con

ansias de supervivencia, pues dichos sectores étnico-culturales

suponen un peligro para la globalización, principal fuente de

ingresos económicos del fuerte y del poderoso.

Aquí observamos la peor arma atómica, la peor cara del

Universalismo, es decir; el yugo del Totalitarismo bajo el cual

tratan de humillar los colectivos de carácter tribal.

distintas mitologías, que la mitología de un pueblo es capaz de

Supongo que por comodidad, no tratan de investigar sus propias

herencias, siguen tradiciones Islandesas cuando no tienen nada que

ver con Islandia, tal vez ni conozcan la historia de esa nación. Las

runas son estudiadas según el panorama Islandés y se les llena la

boca con un grimorio mágico y rúnico de origen islandés y además con

fuertes toques cristianos.

Es cierto que nuestros Dioses reclaman para si a todos sus hijos de

¿De que le sirve a un godo, las runas sajonas? Como material de

práctica ¿de que le servirá?

Si los Godos tuvieron una propia concepción Rúnica y unas

tradiciones mágico-espirituales propias, es estúpido que un

descendiente de ellos que se llame Odinista a si mismo, acabe por

basarse en una tradición totalmente diferente.

El todo padre, Odín, no fue llamado Odín por todos los Germanos.

Cada cual tuvo su propia manera de llamarlo. Odín bien puede servir

para un Ásatrú, sin embargo ¿a nosotros?

Propiamente dicho, Odín o bien sea Uuoden (es decir, nuestro

Wodan), se trata de la misma entidad, la misma divinidad. Sin

embargo a cada tribu se reveló de una manera distinta y generación

tras generación fue heredado a los venideros de una manera idéntica

a la cual sus antepasados pudieron recibirle.

pensar que es un método para marcar una identidad propia de nuestro

historia distinta, tal vez mejor o tal vez peor. Todo eso es muy

bonito y muy fácil de digerir, pero hay una razón poderosa que está

lejos de marcar una diferencia y declarar una autonomía pertinente.

Además de todo esto, es contactar con una fuerza intrínseca única,

dentro de un modus operandi propio que nos conecta con una fuente

antepasada que sopondrá un beneficio, el sacar provecho de una

herencia con la que hemos nacido. Es algo parecido a lo que Jung denominó inconsciente colectivo o subconsciente de la raza.

Tras la ideología Fölkish, cuando se entiende de una manera amplia y

real, se elimina la superficialidad, las etnias y sus vertientes

No veo una conquista veo un manejo político por querer instaurar un sistema geopolítico basado en una teocracia donde la monarquía sustentada por esta aberración monoteísta que en realidad no lo es porque aglutina dioses y costumbres politeístas en aras de una universalidad ecléctica.

Un gran error y un gran crimen para mi es el cristianismo no veo un gran peligro en todas las sectas cristianas en relación a los heathen y su convivencia en el futuro.

El cristianismo y el islamismo son los peores enemigos de los odinistas y nuestra lucha es formar familias fuertes e individuos sanos con fuertes valores y principios que puedan resistir esta ignorancia y necesidad de ser irresponsables y legar a una potestad todo poderosa el perdón o la salvación de la sociedad y espiritu de los seres humanos.

Para mi el cristianismo es una religión depredadora con muchos plagios de pueblos que conquisto a base de la espada y el miedo y que todavía cargamos esa programación represora en nuestro ser fruto de siglos de dominación y lavado de cerebro.
